p21 protein (Cdc42/Rac)-activated kinase 2 (PAK2) is a serine/threonine kinase that is a target for the GTP binding proteins CDC42 and RAC1. PAK2 likely plays a role in regulating apoptosis and may be involved in neurite outgrowth. PAK2 has more copies in the human genome than in any other primate.
