"An Anthology of Anthropogeny" Shines a Spotlight on the Research of CARTA Members Outside of CARTA Symposia

CARTA, Osher, & UC San Diego Extended Studies Present Fall 2022 Master Class I Series

Every other year, CARTA is pleased to join our friends at Osher Lifelong Learning Institute in facilitating access to the broad, anthropogeny-related expertise of CARTA's membership through UC San Diego Extended Studies. Though not a CARTA symposium, this community collaboration has become a cherished biennial tradition with our most recent 2020 class continuing online during some of the worst days of the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, Osher has safety protocols in place to ensure safe, in-person AND online participation of learners, though we have drawn from local CARTA members in sourcing speakers in order to enable long-awaited, in-person interactions on the UC San Diego Extended Studies Campus.

The 2022 course theme, "An Anthology of Anthropogeny," showcases the breadth of CARTA member expertise and demonstrates the depth of the subject matter, that of human evolution. Longtime CARTA supporters will recognize many of the faces but we promise fresh perspectives from these acknowledged experts in their respective fields. In person participation requires an Osher membership, though CARTA supporters are invited to join the online sessions at no cost via the Zoom link.

You can learn more about this biennial offering (including dates/times) by visiting the course page: Osher Lifelong Learning Institute/CARTA Biennial Master Class I: "An Anthology of Anthropogeny" (Fall 2022). Please note, this is NOT a CARTA symposium.
