In 2022, I graduated with a PhD in Cognitive Science with specialization in Anthropogeny. I focused my research on the cognitive and brain development of children born preterm and full-term. Specifically, I am interested in the long-term effects of preterm birth on higher cognitive functions such as mathematics skills. I continue my research in this field while also working as a lecturer at UC San Diego. I currently teach cognitive neuroscience and environmental effects on early human development.
Aside from my interest in developmental cognitive neuroscience, I am fascinated by how our birth process developed from an evolutionary perspective, and by birth practices in different cultures.
